about

This song carries inspiration from the song "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika", written by Enoch Sontonga, a Xhosa clergyman in 1897, it became much loved, pan-African liberation anthem.
So this one is for the inner child, the child that dreamt the crazy, courageous and beautiful dreams, and the remembrance of those dreams it is about the importance of carrying them forward and a prayer to help us to fulfil them and make them manifest in this life.
Woza moya is from the Zulu language it is a calling to the spirit.
it translates as "come spirit come"
Nkosi sikelel' is Xhosa for: may God bless us
and Yizwa imithandazo yethu is Zulu for: Lord hear our prayers.

lyrics

waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya

when I was child my dreams were wild
I would shine like the sun
float like a cloud
I would ride on through the night
to misty morning light
I would fight my way through
find the treasure
and bring it on home to you
my queen

well I knew that I could do anything anything
I knew that I could be anything anything
I knew that I was free

waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya

iswyimitunda zo ye tu
kosikalele kosikalele
iswyimitunda zo ye tu
kosikalele kosikalele

waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya

it's been a long time coming
now I'm done with the running
when I open my eyes i can see
that the truth has always been inside of me
no more counting the cost
nor feeling the loss
as this life slips on by
in the blink of an eye
for one know that I can't play these games any longer
yeah I know that my spirit is getting stronger
it's getting stronger

waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya

no matter what they do
no matter what they say
the truth is you've just got to go your own way
for this is your day
this is your day
this is your day
now is the time of your life

waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya
waza moya waza moya

now is the time of your life
